Time for the Holidays

Well since I seem to post about every two months, it appears it's that time again, lol! Yesterday I finally figured out how to download photos onto my computer (instead of the hubby's) so I'm hoping that will motivate me to blog a little more, since I like to include pictures.

So much has happened since my last posting. I ran my second half marathon. The course had more hills than last year which made it very challenging, and my foot started hurting around mile 10, but I finished and got a cool medal to show for it!
Don't I look great after running 13.1 miles? Somebody get that woman a hot shower! I've been resting the foot since the race, haven't done any long runs, but I do hope to start again soon so I can train for the Tobacco Road Half Marathon in March. I've heard it's not as hilly as City of Oaks!

Here is my latest layout for the Scrap Your Stash blog. The November challenge is a recipe challenge, and you had two choices, actually scrap about a recipe, or follow the following scrap recipe:
5 embelishments (flowers, buttons, etc)
4 words or letters in your title
3 pictures
2 pattern papers
1 solid paper
I opted for the scrap recipe, and was very happy with the results:
Sorry about that flash, it was an overcast day!

Another site I like to go to for inspiration is Sketch Inspiration, last week they had the cutest sketch (which I'll have to figure out how to post here), but here is the page I made:
Sketch Inspiration has great sketches every week along with a prize drawing, so go check them out!

One last picture I have to share, it's my three kiddies in their Halloween costumes. I sewed the girls costumes and it was a lot of fun. I love this sewing thing, now I'm debating whether I need a serger or not!

Have a blessed day!

Are You Ready for Some Football

Flag football that is! Today my wonderful son played his first game of flag football ever! It was a scrimmage, and he had a lot of fun. Here's a pic of him coming up the middle:

He decided a couple of years ago that he is going to be a professional football player (for the Green Bay Packers, not sure where they came from but we can work on that later, ha!) He said he's going to play a couple of seasons of flag football, then he'll move up to tackle. Whoa there son, let's not stress Mom out too much! Anyway, I'm so very proud of him, can't wait for next Saturday's game.

My Favorite Kit Club

I love my monthly kit club through Transparent Touches and Tags. Monica does a great job packing the kits with awesome papers and embellishments, every month gets better and better! They also have monthly contests which give you a great opportunity to use up your kits. The June contest was to scraplift from their gallery, the most difficult decision was deciding what layout to use for inspiration. I decided to scraplift one of their design team members Anna, I pretty much didn't change a thing! Here's what I came up with:

This is a picture of Catherine riding on her horse, if you look real close you can see a lot of other toys in the background, lol!

Make sure you check out Monica's kits at http://www.transparenttouches.com/index.htm

It's Just Sad....

that I am such a slacker at blogging! This school year really sucked all the energy out of me, I am glad that it is summer. Even though the kids are bickering, whiny, and of course bored, it is great to be able to spend this time with them. And when all else fails, time to go to the pool!

How about a fun pic of the kids

This pic is from January, obviously I'm as good at uploading photos as I am at blogging, lol!

Here are a few LO's I have worked on the past few months for the Club Got Sketch! class I took:

This one is of Lauren when she turned 2 years old (now she's 6!) I'm really glad I took this class, because in the past I have struggled with scrapping more than one photo.

This one is of Matthew on his 6th birthday, which he had to spend at school. When he found out that I got to bring in a birthday treat, all was good!

And this one is of me and the family after I finished my first half-marathon, the City of Oaks. It was such an awesome experience, and it meant the world to me that my husband and children were there at the finish line cheering me on!

Now here are a few layouts I did for the Scrap Our Stash blog:

This LO was for the June Challenge. Because June is the busiest month for weddings, the challenge was to try to incorporate "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue." I decided to scrap this pic of our family right after Catherine was born, she was my something new. ( :

Here I am dating myself showing when I graduated from high school! This was one of the ones I did for the May Challenge, which was to use flowers in our layout.

And lastly, this one was for the April challenge, where the challenge was to use sun or sunshine--nothing captures that better than the beach!

Thanks for stopping by, let's see if I can blog again before school starts up in the fall!

Club Got Sketch? Sketch 1

Hold onto your hats, I'm actually posting twice in one month, lol! See, I'm already on the road to improvement.

This past Monday started the 8 week session of Club Got Sketch? The blog is by Valerie Salmon and her sketches are fantastic! This is my first time doing a live Got Sketch, although I did download the GS School Album and love it, my plan is to do school books for all of my nieces and nephews (whew, that's a lot!) Here is my layout for the first sketch:

Lauren and Catherine were having breakfast one day and decided the sun was too bright so they put on their glasses. I think they look so cute in these pics! I had a blast doing this layout. Make sure you check out the Got Sketch blog at http://gotsketch.blogspot.com/, you won't be disappointed.

Well my NCAA March Madness bracket is officially a bust after this weekend's games. I started off with three of my final four left, and now I have nothing. Guess I should have listened to my son and put Butler to go all the way. That'll teach me. Oh well, better luck next year!

Have a great day! Tammy

New Scrap Our Stash Challenge

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I might be one of the world's worst bloggers! I have good intentions, but I guess I should actually follow through on them, huh? Anyway, Scrap out Stash is having a March Dust it Off challenge. The idea is to dust off those scrap items you've accumulated such as tools, paper, embellies, anything, and create something. Here is the layout I created, the deets are on the Scrap Our Stash blog.

And yes, my kids are thrilled with the pics, ha! Check out the blog at http://scrapourstash.blogspot.com/ and give it a try!

Now I'm off to see if I can somehow remove the Southwest region from my NCAA bracket, if it weren't for that region I'd be doing pretty good. Is Morehead State the new Butler? Guess we'll see!

God bless, Tammy
